This easy Raspberry Frozen Yogurt is the perfect easy dessert for hot weather. A sugar free frozen yogurt recipe made with just 4 ingredients and a blender. It’s that simple! Gluten free with an easy vegan and dairy free option.

This raspberry frozen yogurt is a simple and healthier alternative to ice-cream. You don’t need an ice-cream machine to make, like with a lot of frozen yogurt recipes.

All you need is a blender, four ingredients and 5 minutes – et voila, frozen raspberry yoghurt which is gluten free and super refreshing!

Ingredients and Substitutions

I’ve popped a full printable recipe card below with all the instructions, but to make this gluten free raspberry frozen yogurt you will need:

  • Frozen Raspberries: Using frozen raspberries means you don’t have any extra freezing time. If you only have fresh raspberries, freeze them first.
  • Honey: This is actually a really important part of this recipe because using a liquid sugar stops the frozen yoghurt from forming crystals when you pop it back in the freezer. You could use agave nectar or maple syrup if you prefer.
  • Natural Yogurt: Full-fat or zero-fat yogurt both work. You can also swap this for a dairy free yogurt like coconut yogurt to make a dairy free raspberry frozen yogurt.
  • Lemon Juice: The acidity of the lemon works with the sugars in the recipe to help ‘gel’ it together, giving it a lovely texture.

If you’re not a fan of raspberries, don’t worry. This recipe will work with any berry – blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, you name it. As long as they are frozen!

How to make raspberry frozen yogurt

There are many different ways to make frozen yogurt but this is by far the most simple.

All you need to make this frozen raspberry yogurt is a high-power blender or food processor. No ice-cream machine needed!

The recipe relies on using frozen berries, as this will help it to form that delicious, creamy, ice-cream-like texture.

It’s simply a case of blending everything together and then eating it. Or you can freeze it for a little extra time for a more firmer, scoop-able texture. The choice is yours!

Prevent your screen from going dark

  • Add the raspberries, yogurt, honey and lemon juice to a food processor or high-powdered blender (if using a blender, this works best with a blender which has a tamper attachment to help push the fruit down into the blades)

  • Blitz for around 30-seconds until it is all blended together. It should be like a soft ice-cream texture.

  • Either enjoy straight away as a ‘soft-serve’ type frozen yogurt or spread into a freezable tin (a 2lb loaf tin works well) and freeze for 20-30 minutes until you can scoop it out.

How long does it take for yogurt to freeze?

This recipe is super quick because you don’t actually need to freeze the yogurt! It uses frozen raspberries to make an ‘instant’ frozen yogurt which is like a soft-serve. You can freeze any leftovers and because it’s already partially frozen, it should only take an hour-or-so to firm up. Just remember to get it out of the freezer a while before scooping as it will be hard!

Can I make vegan raspberry frozen yogurt?

Yes! To make this recipe vegan, use a vegan yogurt like coconut or soya yogurt, and swap the honey for maple syrup or agave nectar.

What can I do with any leftovers?

Simply pop them in a tub or deep tray and put them in the freezer. For best results I recommend removing the tub from the freezer around 15-20 minutes before scooping the frozen yogurt, as it will become hard in the freezer.
